I received my nurse practitioner degree from Columbia University School of Nursing in 2004 and have practiced in both Florida and Colorado. As a medical provider, it’s important to me that my patients know they can trust me with all of their care. I want to partner with my patients so that we can work together towards their good health.

Why I Choose to Work at Clinica: This was my first job out of residency and I am proud to have contributed at Clinica for 11 years. I enjoy practicing full-spectrum care and working as one of our group visit trainers. Outside Clinica: Busy mom of four kids. I enjoy running, skiing and camping, especially visiting National Parks that are new to our family. Even though I was born in Kansas City, Missouri, my extended family lives in Kansas and I am a huge Kansas Jayhawk basketball fan.

Volunteer Experience: I volunteer at the YMCA, coaching youth basketball and previously served for 5 years on the youth development committee. I volunteer at church, Spirit of Christ, teaching in the children's programs and mentoring engaged couples. I also volunteer with our elementary school PTA, working on teacher appreciation activities.

Outside Clinica: I enjoy running, hiking, biking, camping, skiing, and snowboarding. For fun, I completed the Boulder Ironman in 2017 but don't have plans to do anther one anytime soon. When I am not working, I am usually spending time with my family, including our 3 kids, ages 6, 12, and 14. We like to travel. When I have time to read, historical fiction is my favorite.

As a result, it is important to me that I use the opportunity given to me to pursue my dreams in the United States in order to help others in the community who want to pursue their own dreams.

I enjoy the full breadth of primary care and Family Medicine, but I do have specific passions including reproductive health (prenatal care and family planning), a wide variety of procedures, ultrasound, and caring for members of the LGBTQ* community, including gender affirming care for Transgender patients.

Why I Choose to Work at Clinica:I have always wanted to provide care for those who may not have easy access to care otherwise; it feels right to me to give back to society when I know I have been given so much. I also have wanted to use my Spanish language skills on a regular basis, and I enjoy working with my Hispanic patient population. Clinica allows me to practice a wide range of care, not just office visits but also delivering babies, inpatient medicine, and vasectomies, that I may not have access to elsewhere.
