Benefits of health insurance vs. Clinica’s discount:
Both insurance and Clinica’s discount plan will cover the cost of regular medical visits, acute visits, prescriptions, mental health care and minor procedures. Health insurance, however, will also cover:
- Urgent care visits
- Emergency room visits
- Hospitalizations
- X-rays and other imaging services

The current public charge policy remains in effect. Your health information is confidential and cannot be shared with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Colorado law protects your personal information when applying for or enrolling in most public benefits. Your information may only be shared with some federal agencies if there is an audit from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or the Office of the Inspector General. If shared, the information does not impact your immigration status and can’t be used in a public charge determination.
Many in immigrant families qualify for government programs that help with health care, food, or rent. Applying for and using programs you qualify for won’t affect immigration applications. Using food or housing programs, getting health care in a hospital, doctor’s office, or clinic won’t affect immigration applications. or claiming tax credits for which you qualify won’t affect immigration applications.
The safety net programs in the United States were designed to help families get through tough times. If you qualify for Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, and Section 8 housing, the public charge policy doesn’t affect you. Please get the help you and your family need.
